We love boats and the sea. At the Finnish Travel Fair (Matkamessut) in January 2014 we got the idea to try out a cruise for Louise’s birthday in April. We booked the trip and flights ourselves and in early April 2014 we flew to Miami.

We stayed in Miami for a couple of nights to get over jet-lag and get a feel for the city. We explored the path and then board-walk for as far as we could and in the heat. Parts of it were not accessible and forced us out onto the street. A group of paparazzi caught our attention – Justin Bieber was jet skiing. Well they say you can spot celebs in South Beach.

Then early on Sunday 6 April it was taxi to Fort Lauderdale to join Celebrity Silhouette for a 6 day cruise round the Western Caribbean. So only 2 days in Miami but we’ll be back!
